SECUREX 2018 – summary
On April 23-26, 2018, the 22nd edition of SECUREX, the largest security fair in Poland and Central Europe, was held. SATEL had the opportunity to participate for the twentieth time in this most important national industry event.
During this years fair we received three awards:
- Gold Medal at the Poznań Fair awarded for INTEGRUM,
- First place in the Polish Master of Security Technology competition for the PERFECTA system,
- Acanthus Aureus for exhibition stand and display design.
As in previous years, the SATEL stand attracted a lot of people interested in the solutions we presented and the new product announcements that this year prevailed at our stand.
The new version of the ABAX 2 two-way wireless system, based on a new radio system, aroused special interest among the guests. The main features of the new solution are: four-channel operation in the 868 MHz frequency band, much faster data transmission, greater immunity to interference, range up to 2000 m in the open area as well as remote firmware upgrade and configuration of wireless devices. People interested in this system had an opportunity to participate in a thematic conference, organized on the third day of the fair by SATEL specialists.
The announcement of a new line of SLIM Line motion detectors captured as much attention of our visitors. Ten of the latest devices got a new compact and slim enclosure. Its uniform appearance will prevent the intruder from identifying the model of the detector used in the alarm system.
Other product announcements were also received with great interest:
- KNX modules ‒ to be used for implementation of advanced building automation,
- ACSP ‒ addressable fire alarm system,
- INT-GSM ‒ GSM communication bus module for INTEGRA and INTEGRA Plus control panels,
- APS-1412, APS-724 ‒ new back-up power supplies.
In addition to the announced new products to be included in our portfolio in the near future, we presented at our stand products and solutions from the SATEL permanent product offering, including: PERFECTA alarm system with dedicated PERFECTA CONTROL mobile application, VERSA Plus system with VERSA CONTROL mobile app, the latest GSM-X and GPRS-A communication modules, ACCO NET access control system, INTEGRUM program for integration of INTEGRA control panels.
An additional attraction was the presentation of a tool for professionals of CONFX ‒ a hardware configurator for creating and editing the Intruder Alarm System (IAS) projects. We also showed what additional features will appear in its new CONFX 2 version.
On the third day of the fair, the finals of the Polish Championships of Alarm System Installers took place. It is a tradition that during this event SATEL acts as a Technical Partner, organizing one of the practical competition tasks for the participants. This year we prepared a contest based on the PERFECTA control panel. The winner of the 6th Polish Championships of Alarm System Installers (MPISA) became SOLID GROUP Sp. z o.o. Sp.k. Olsztyn, with Marek Dąbrowski and Piotr Podlaski, thus defending the title of the winner of the 5th MPISA 2016. Congratulations! :-)
The next day, numerous participants of the educational project "Poznań International Fair (MTP) and Polish Chamber of Alarm System (PISA) for Future Professionals", addressed to young people from vocational and technical schools, faced similar challenges. Also in this event, SATEL prepared a practical task based on the PERFECTA control panel.
